Vineyard Spotlight: St. Anne’s Winery Myrniong

Join us on a digital journey across central Victoria & New South Wales as we visit all of our picturesque St. Anne’s Winery locations!

Today we’re exploring the Pentland Hills & beyond – where you can find the birthplace of St. Anne’s Winery!  Nestled among the Macedon Ranges, it sits nearly in the midway point between Melbourne and former gold rush town turned tourist destination, Ballarat, making it an ideal destination for an easy day trip from the city.

Established over 50 years ago, St. Anne’s Winery Myrniong’s vineyard boasts a unique microclimate & soil characteristics that contribute to the unique terroir of our wines.  From volcanic soils to sedimentary deposits, the soil composition of the area causes different mineral deposits in the fruit, leading to complexity & depth in flavour – within our vineyard, we grow a number of grape varietals including Reisling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz!

While you visit, you might as well enjoy the fruits of our labour!  Pop into our Cellar Door for a tasting of our award winning red, white & fortified wines, and while you’re here, snack on one of our delicious cheese platters.  Bookings can be made by following the link HERE.

While you’re planning your visit, whether we’re your destination or just a stop on the way, you must make sure to take in some of our local sights!

For those interested in spending time outdoors, nearby Werribee Gorge State Park, Macedon Ranges or Lerderderg State Park are perfect for bushwalking, wildlife spotting and panoramic views.   For those looking to connect with the Regional Australian lifestyle instead, there’s no shortage of activities.  Visit Daylesford or Hepburn Springs, known as ‘Spa Country’ or visit Sovereign Hill in Ballarat for a historically accurate gold rush experience.

Don’t spend your time chained to the city when Regional has so much to offer!  A day of wonderful adventure that includes St. Anne’s Winery Myrniong & its surrounding area doesn’t just fill your cup of wine, it fills the cup of the soul.
